When it comes to scuba dive gear, quality is essential. Whenever one participates in an activity with as many inherent dangers as scuba diving, it is extremely important that one’s equipment is reliable. Problems with equipment during a deep water dive can have disastrous results.
This being the case, it is important to inspect all scuba dive gear before venturing into the water. Tanks should always be checked for cracks in the metal, as well as the seal. Air regulators should be tested to make sure they are operating properly.
Scuba dive gear should also be properly store to avoid any damage. Diving equipment should never be allowed to dry in the sun, as the UV light can having damaging effects on the rubber hoses. All equipment should be rinsed with fresh water after every dive as well.
