Having the proper scuba diving gear can make a world of difference. A quality wetsuit, or drysuit in colder water, can dramatically affect your body temperature while diving. Diving without the aid of one of these suits can make a dive much less comfortable, and sometimes much more hazardous.

Cheap scuba diving gear is not usually recommended. This is because of the inherent dangers that divers are subjected too. An inferior piece of equipment can cause numerous hazards, including death.

Many dive shops will have pre-packaged scuba diving gear. These packages usually include the basic items every diver needs, including masks, fins and regulators. Purchase a package is often less expensive than buying all the components separately.
