A scuba gear backpack can go a long way in keeping equipment protected and organized. These benefits come in addition to greater ease of transport, of course. Some features are required for a good bag, while others are desirable or simply optional.
Integral features of a scuba gear backpack are sturdy design and large, zippers. The fabric should not be at risk of rotting from water exposure. Reinforced stitching is also crucial. The zippers should be corrosion-proof as well. Heavily reinforced straps are also important.
Desirable features for a scuba gear backpack include wheels and drain holes. These allow for more varied transport options as necessary and keep things dryer within the bag. More optional features include detachable pockets. Also some may prefer more pockets, while others prefer less.
